An Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) allows you to appoint someone to manage your financial and property affairs if you become unable to do so. This includes tasks such as paying bills, handling bank accounts, managing investments, and even selling property.

Unlike a Will, an EPA takes effect while you are still alive, typically only if medical professionals determine you are mentally unfit to make financial decisions. It does not cover personal or healthcare decisions, which are addressed through a Personal Directive.

Can i leave my Estates to whoever I want to?

As long as the property is self-acquired, you can leave it to whomsoever you wish through a will. However, it will be better to mention in the will the reason you do not want to give it to one of your children as it will reduce the chances of the will being contested by him or her.
